Was quite amused when i read this article about the fire outbreak at Tangs in the new paper today. (refering to e New Paper...not a paper that was new, but ok la, the paper was quite new today) It seems that yest night, at about 1945, a small fire broke out on the chinese looking style roof of Tangs, e one that faces wisma. I was at at Tangs yest aft to get my mum a present but sadly i missed out on the excitement as I had to rush off to church for e christmas concert. According to the report, it seems that some pple couldnt care much less about a fire. Fantastic. Shopping comes first. Great spirit. Die die gotta go shop cause its already so close to christmas, and further more there's sale... So although the front area was cordoned off, some pple tried to find ways past to get in to shop, succesfully in fact. Granted, the fire wasnt serious and it was put off quite fast...but still...it just shows how courageous we sporeans are. Pple along orchard rd were said to be gawking at the fire. This proves it...its great entertainment, we oughta have this lightup style every year now, something refreshing other than the usual lightup... Cool right?
For my family, i have more or less settled e presents alr. For friends, only left 1 or 2 to settle.. Hmm looks like i am almost ready for christmas.. Oh yeah gotta fix a place for e christmas lunch with my friends. damn. hope i can still get a reservation now. Still mulling over whether to go to this place in clarke quay or another place in raffles city. Thinking back, haha its been some time since that time in gordon grill... lol.. Maybe for 21st ba. Anyway, looking forward to a good christmas. 1st christmas as a non-civilian...
