Basket... My internet has been giving me loads of problems, and as if thats not enough, the stupid tagboard is also being another source of irritation and trouble. Damn technology, we are just too reliant on it. I wonder how we will live in the world today if suddenly technology is all cut off.
But heck the woes of technology. Yesterday was prob the most fun day in my army time so far. Headed down to Vivocity and caught my first glimpse of this place, and seriously, that place is huge. Its really big, even the carparks (yes its more than one) are humongous. I had to go help out for the appreciation dinner for the volunteers that volunteered at the IMF meetings, and this duty was so fun and slack as I could wear civilian, walk around in the air-con mall, see gals instead of guys in camp, and of course free food too. Considering its army duty, its quite amazing. Haha i even took the chance to look and shop around when I had to photocopy something, using the excuse that I couldnt find the shop. (which was true too) You wont belive it, there's this entire shop called candy empire, thats dedicated to sweets and chocs. Its like some kinda Willy Wonka's chocolate factory for kids. It really has lots of stuff there, but yeah expect to visit the dentist more... Vivo has loads of shops for clothes, from zara to marks n spencer, virtually anithing u need for clothes, this place should have it...
My duty there was quite weird...had to sort of protect/ward off/keep away 'unauthorised personnel' from badgering our PM (who was guest of honour btw). So it was sort of something like being a guard again. Pple seem to be obsessed with wanting to speak to our PM and take photo or autograph or whatever nonsense like that. Well I had to stop them, but i think one guy got through initially and suceeded..he must be damn happy.. Oh and yeah first time i saw our spore idol, hady, live in person as he performed his first outdoor public performance. Must say I quite like 'You Give Me Wings', but by then i was so damn hungry that all i wishedwas that someone would just give me food...
