Rochester - Wessex Estate

Weekends are great, but they are too short. Its like, weekend has arrived and then before u know it, its over. Oh well but i guess it cant be too long either right or else it would lose its appeal and difference from the normal working days. Its an irony. But i think i can live with them anytime. Haha

Today was a great day spent at rochester/wessex estate, and it certainly offered something new and refreshing from the usual working weekdays whereby packed trains/crowds of office pple and tall skyscrapers greet u. Anyone who wants a break from the usual city life and wants greenery, some peace, calm and quietness can head to wessex for a walk.

Haha clem & i must have have be nuts to walk so much today. Frm bunoa vista to rochester park to wessex estate. This took an entire aft, and though e rain did spoil some plans, at least it did provide a slight cooling effect. And it was pure luck that today happened to be the wessex artists open house too, so got free buggy rides, open houses, bazzaar etc

Pic:Yeah there are swings tied to the tree. Its almost like a rustic old village.
Wessex has a charm of its own and its kinda laid back with lotsa greenery & old colonial houses around. But i think they can do with more cafes there. Its a nice quiet place and u can understand why the artists want to stay/work there. This place is also unique in its own way as compared to dempsey, though the latter does have its own good points too.

We chilled out at Colbar and the vanilla milkshake there was good. I didnt try e food there so no idea whether its good or not. Maybe next time. Ended the day off with dinner at essential brews at holland v. (btw e food there is good and the tea rocks) A great saturday. Another weekend is about to be over. Good walk. Good food. La la land. Great company. Great weekend.
