Countdown

The countdown has begun..its about 5 more days to go... I'm talking abt the release of the latest and final harry potter book, if you havent already guessed. (which planet do u live on man?!) I've mixed feelings abt this coming sat...i mean yeah i really want to read the last book and find out whats gonna happen, hows it gonna end etc... But it'll also mean there will be no more books to look forward to since this is the last one. (presuming of course that j.k rowling doesnt write again) Its a strange feeling...cant wait, but dreading also....

Its been such a long time ever since the advent of the first harry potter book. Initially i didnt even want to read it and i only started on the series cos my mum borrowed the first 2 books of the series and brought it home. Haha and now i'm hooked. The series has steadily evolved from being children-oriented in outlook to the current 'dark-theme' outlook catered more towards adults, though albeit not totally alienating the kids who follow the series. I mean yeah sure the latter books are much thicker and the reader's command of english certainly cant be that of a novice, but then again, neither is the language used so flowery that one could have wooed shakespear with it.

I hope the book will be good...pity dumbledore died, it was kinda pathetic actually the way it happened. Even if the magic's gonna end with this book, the very least it can do is to make sure it goes out with a real big bang...bring on the Deathly Hallows...
