Someone i know, who is highly respected and knighted by the Church for his role in int relations, said before, "Commitment is giving when one doesnt feel like it." Today everyone is busy and committed to many things. Sometimes too much commitments, or at times the opposite. For the former, to the extent that one gets tired and feel like giving up any one commitment, or just relegate and chuck it aside.
Take for instance former classmates. Isnt commitment to old friendships relegated aside due to other seemingly more impt commitments sometimes? Eventually sometimes they may become lost forever. The best part is when it happens not due to genuine reasons but coz of whims or laziness. But usually when u put in the effort to be committed, esp at times when its not easy, ultimately at the end it will make it all worthwhile. At the very least you will grow as a person. Gotta manage time and strike a balance. To digress, since V day is around the corner, yeah i think e statement applies sometimes even to relationships.
When i left last yr due to impending service to the nation, i saw myself going back in 2008, once i ORD. What i didnt expect was how my life would turn out to be what it is today. The excuse of no time and precious weekends doesnt really apply alr. Despite the casulty rate, for whatever reasons, i am still quite adamant to go back. Maybe its crazy. But its the only thing that i have the feeling for, and also prob the only thing that i can see myself serving in.
But the thought of 4 concerts in a yr sounds a bit mad and not too appealing a time to return. There's definitely gonna be pressure too. Will surely have scoldings, gotta make sure i hit e right notes etc. Concerns that i currently am happily free of.
Lets see how things work out. But in the meantime, i will prob just go brush up. Just in case. Dont want to be too rusty. Committing myself again may be quite demanding but then again, I will surely learn stuff and besides, neither do i want to be floating around uncommitted and wasting my time again. Army has enough of that. I think i want and need to start getting committed again....and i think i will start from there...
Woah i cant believe i wrote that much..haha ok sorry if i bore u pple
